Peggy Jo Turvey, 80, of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008 in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Blackwell, OK. She was born May 27, 1928 Ponca City, Oklahoma to John and Bessie Davis.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Blackwell Funeral Home Chapel with Lanny Jobe officiating, interment will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackwell Funeral Home, Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Peggy grew up in Ponca City and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Ponca City in 1948.

She married Jack Turvey, September 5, 1970 in Ponca City and he preceded her in death May 7, 2000.

Peggy was a member of the Church of Christ in Blackwell, Oklahoma.  She loved to read her Bible, attend church service and activities. She enjoyed family gatherings, music and people.

Before her husband passed away she loved to travel with him to Branson.  She loved him very much.

Survivors include her cousins, Larry and Patty Noel of Ponca City, OK, Don and Susan Pierce of Stillwater, OK, Dianna Wadley of Berryton, KS, Jeanie and Dave Boudreau of Kankakee, IL, and Robert Williamson of Aurora, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband and parents.
