Jerry Lu Yourdon, 70, of Nardin, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, April 30, 2010 at The Servant Living Center in Medford, Oklahoma. He was born July 16, 1939 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Orville and Bula (Robertson) Yourdon as an only child.

Memorial service will be held later in the summer. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackwell Funeral Home, Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Jerry grew up and attended school in Blackwell, Oklahoma.  Jerry worked as a machine operator at Southwest Cupid. His long time occupation was being a truck driver, delivering freight.

He married Connie R. Kennon on March 31, 1963 and they just celebrated their forty seventh anniversary.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being one with the nature; playing cards, joking around and always trying to stir up some trouble with anyone he could. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his sons.

Survivors include his wife, Connie of the home; three son, Troy D. Yourdon and his girlfriend, Roxanne Sedam of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Travis R. Yourdon and his wife, Michelle of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Tracy E. Yourdon and his wife, Melissa of Elkhart, Indiana; five grandchildren, Levi and Brooklynn Yourdon, Tasha Riley and her husband, AJ, Heath and Sean Snodgrass; and two family pets, China and Brody.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Clifford and Data Yourdon; one aunt, Lena Anderson; one uncle, Louie Anderson; his mother and father-in-law, Lewis and Thelma Kennon.
