Faye Cora (Rogers, Hightower) Lee, 92, of Tonkawa, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2010 at Integris Blackwell Regional Hospital.  She was born February 5, 1918 in Leadhill, Arkansas to Thomas and Sarah Rogers.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Blackwell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor, Robert Johnson officiating, interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Tonkawa, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackwell Funeral Home, Blackwell, Oklahoma.

She married Edgar Hightower on October 23, 1937. They had five children, Lovon, Jake, Charles, Donald and Shirley. They moved to Tonkawa in 1950. After Edgar’s death in 1960, she worked as a cook at Jacks café’. She later married DA Lee and began moving around due to his job. After his death she moved to Blackwell to be near her children. She moved into Kittie Houston Apartments in August of 1979. She then moved to Willow Haven Nursing Home in Tonkawa in October 2008.

Survivors include one son, Charles Hightower; one daughter, Shirley Rowe; nine grandchildren, Tammy Cavett, Johnny Rowe, Carl Hightower, Ronnie Hightower, Jeff Hightower, Debbie Scritchfield, William Hightower, Tammy Hightower and Shino Hightower; twenty one great grandchildren, fifteen great great children; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; seven brothers; two sisters; two sons, Jake Hightower, Donald Hightower; one daughter, Lovon Parker; and one grand daughter Teresa Hightower Smith.
