Dawn Marie Kotter, 55, of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 in Integris Blackwell Regional Hospital, Blackwell, Oklahoma.  She was born July 4, 1953 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Bob and Ilah (Damren) Karol.

Dawn requested to be cremated.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackwell Funeral Home, Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Dawn grew up in California attending high school there; moving to Blackwell in 1996.  She married Delmar Kotter May 5, 2001 in Blackwell where they have made their home.

Dawn loved people, animals, gospel music and writing poetry.  She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Delmar of the home; her parents; her children, Christinia Wright and her husband, Jason of Oroville, California, Tommy Van Horn and his wife, Rosie, Chico, California, Heather Wright and her husband, Neils of Magalia, California, Joey Van Horn and his wife, Heidi of Anchorage, Alaska, and Ricky Vowell of Palmer, Alaska; her sisters and brothers, Sherry, Diane, Rick, Ron, Bobby, Chris, Brian, Robin, Treasure and Nick; her grandchildren, Roman and Thomas Van Horn, Dylan and Ashley Wright, Ethan, Kaiden Wright, and Dylan, Harmony, Zachary Van Horn; numerous nieces and nephews.
