David Ray Allison, 60, of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 at Integris Regional Hospital in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He was born on August 26, 1950 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Lester Ray and Maxine (Lafferty) Allison.
Davids’ family requested cremation and there will not be a service at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackwell Funeral Home.
He lived most of his life in Blackwell, Oklahoma and a very short time in Colorado when he was young; attending school in Blackwell and Colorado.
David married Florence Wiley and they celebrated 35 years together before his death.
David attended The House of Prayer for a short period of time with his wife. During his free time he enjoyed going fishing when the weather was good and spending lots of time with his 25 cats that he treated as his children. Together they raised several; homeless (kids) cats and was very fond of every single one of them, but was especially fond of Buddy Lee, Barney Boo, Tator Ray, Harry Lee Roy, Sam, Abby, Slim, Patty and many many more.
Survivors are his wife, Florence Allison of the home; one sister Renee Black of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and his cats.
Preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Paula Faye; one brother, Earl Skaggs; one half brother, Jimmy Dale.
Memorial may be made to the Blackwell Funeral Home to help offset the funeral cost or to the Blackwell Animal Hospital in the care of Blackwell Funeral Home, 301 West Blackwell, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
